Our main goal is to use natural archives as a source of climatic and environmental information
About laboratory
We established a new laboratory for multi-proxy high-resolution paleoreconstructions focused primarily on the new methodologies of ice-core but coupled with lake-sediments and tree-ring analyses, dating of moraines with cosmogenic isotopes, tephrochronology, and modelling of future climate and environmental changes.
The Laboratory will include an Analytical Centre, where basic analyses will be performed, a Depository of unique proxy samples and a Meta-data Centre for proxy records.
Our team has experience in fieldwork and laboratory analysis. A head of the laboratory is one of the leading scientists, recognized and respected experts in a community of paleoglaciologists.
